MSC Divina Day 6

Today started like most others. We slept until we were ready to wake up made our way to breakfast and then rested some more before getting ready to go up to get our facials in the spa. The seas are a little rougher today and you can feel the boat rock quite a bit. Still no sea sickness thanks to the Trans dermal patch. Though I did start to get motion sick yesterday on the tour bus so don’t know what the difference is. Tonight’s entertainment is a tribute to Michael Jackson. The theater is going to be crowded so we will need to get there early. We made it for our facials this morning. Both were excellent and we were both very relaxed after. Lunch in the buffet was pretty good today. This afternoon the captain had a question and answer session. He is very personable and seemed very interested in everyone questions and comments.

They make all of the potable water used on board with two desalination and reverse osmosis systems. All waste water is also processed on board and is dumped out to sea when we are roughly 12 miles from shore. The pools are all ocean water. While sailing the water is circulated with ocean water. When in port the water is circulated internally and chlorinated to maintain a proper ph level. The ship burns three types of fuel. They burn a diesel oil in the boilers and the generators burn a low emission diesel in ports and other sensitive areas and regular diesel when in the open ocean. The ship is also equipped with scrubbers so all the exhaust is burned again to reduce the pollutants before being pushed out the stacks. This ship has three thrusters in the front, two in the rear and two propulsion pods and two rudders all used to steer and propel the ship.

The show this evening was great and the singer/dancer who protrayed Michael Jackson did an excellent jog.
